Preservation of Morris Island Lighthouse

“Tha sole purpose of Save The Light, Inc is to save the Morris Island Lighthouse,(which is actually owned by the State of SC). This project is expected to take several years primarily due to the necessity of raising funds. To date, we have spent in excess of $5.7 million on phases one and two. The next phase will not be implemented until sufficient funds are raised. Future expenditures are estimated to be in excess of $3.0 million. During 2014, there were project expenditures made. In 2014 the Board of Directors was active in fund raising that resulted in raising $95 thousand included in line L on page one of the 990-EZ.”

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt2Tha sole purpose of Save The Light, Inc is to save the Morris Island Lighthouse,(which is actually owned by the State of SC). This project is expected to take several years primarily due to the necessity of raising funds. To date, we have spent in excess of $5.7 million on phases one and two. The next phase will not be implemented until sufficient funds are raised. Future expenditures are estimated to be in excess of $3.0 million. During 2014, there were project expenditures made. In 2014 the Board of Directors was active in fund raising that resulted in raising $95 thousand included in line L on page one of the 990-EZ.
