The Organization performs the following community services:1. The Organiation has been in operation for 18 years. Apartments are upgraded when turnover occurs including fresh paint, new carpet. New enhancements are implemented to upgrade appliances in kitchens upon turnover. The old appliances (electric ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers) are donated to Habitat for Humanity Restore. The Organization turned over approximately 30 units this past fiscal year. Total expenses incurred for these activities were $350.2. As apartments turnover, the Organization's Marketing Department inventories items left in each unit. They coordinate donation of usable items to various charitable organizations in our area such as: Salvation Army, Goodwill and Mountain Mission. The Organization turned over approximately 30 units this past fiscal year. Total expenses incurred for these activities were $232.3. Annually the Organization participates in the following charitable activities: a. Food Drive for Manna Meal, b. Clothing Drive for Covenant House, c. Read-A-Loud labeling 10,000 magazines for schools throughout the state, d. Butterfly Release proceeds to American Lung Association, e. Habitat for Humanity Information Flyer labeling over 200, f. Red Hat Mama's preparing and distributing 200 treat bags for children at Women and Children's Hospital, and g. Stuffing 15,000 Easter Eggs with treats for City of Charleston Easter Egg Hunt.Total expenses incurred for these activities were $1,062.The total expenses for the above charity work were $1,644 and relate to labor costs only.
