Mission

The organization's goal is to offer the community the highest quality physical, occupational and speech therapy services possible guided by research, perfected with experience and delivered with compassion. We inspire our clients to reach their fullest potential through high quality, comprehensive and individualized service. Our services have been expanded from the fairfax community to the surrounding communities of western fairfax county and loudoun county with the opening in march 2021 of the chantilly outpatient center.

The foundation is the continuing care provider at the virginian in fairfax, va. The facility is a complete continuing care retirement community with independent living and assisted living apartments and a complete health care center with 100 health care beds.

Each director is annually required to sign a conflicts of interest statment and disclose any relationship with the temple foundation or another organization that does business with the temple foundation that could give rise to a conflict of interest. These statements are reviewed by the chairman of the board of directors and the foundation's attorney if deemed necessary. In the event that the chairman determines that a conflict exists, the director is not allowed to participate in any decision or attend any meeting where a discussion involving the relationship, entity or activity is discussed or decided.

Annually, a published analysis of industry compensation information for the region is used as a guide to evaluate and set the salaries, wages and benefits for the officers and all department heads. The assistant treasurer recommends compensation programs for each of the department heads to the board of directors. The temple foundation maintains a compensation committee within the board of directors who review the industry evaluation and the performance of the assistant treasurer and his recommendations for the individual department heads and independently approves the compensation plans for the assistant treasurer and the department heads.

Annually the organization is required to file a detailed disclosure statement with the commonwealth of virginia, bureau of insurance that contains detailed information on the organization and the facility including a description of the business form of the organization, description of the physical plant and real property, names, addresses and background information on members of the board of directors, copies of contracts used to admit residents, information on fees charged, a five year history of fee increases for service accomodations, audited financial statements for the most recent two year period and a forecasted income statement for the next operating year. This information is also maintained at the main office and the resident's library of the organization and is available for inspection by any current resident or prospective resident of the facility and their families.
