Prince william hospital doing business as novant health prince william medical center ("nhpwmc") and novant health haymarket medical center ("nhhmmc") are an integral part of the novant health system (collectively known as "novant health"), a not-for-profit integrated group of hospitals, physician clinics, outpatient centers and other healthcare service providers. Novant health consists of more than 1,200 physicians and 26,000 employees who make healthcare remarkable at nearly 500 locations, including 14 medical centers and hundreds of outpatient facilities and physician clinics. Headquartered in winston-salem, nc, novant health is committed to making healthcare remarkable for patients and communities, serving more than four million patients annually. Novant health is ranked as one of the nation's top 20 integrated delivery networks by ims health. In 2014, the novant health system reported $3.8 billion in revenues. General information novant health prince william medical center located in manassas, va and novant health haymarket medical center located in haymarket, va are focused on providing community support, consistent quality, excellent service and a remarkable work environment for our staff. We are committed to meeting the healthcare needs of residents of manassas, manassas park and prince william county va, one person at a time. In addition to our quality and comprehensive categories of services, we're very proud of our patient financial assistance program. We work with customers to help qualify them for public assistance, establish a reasonable payment plan, discount their bill or provide them with free charity care. Some of these organizations include the prince william area free clinic, the greater prince william community health center, medical missionaries, march of dimes, american diabetes association, american heart association, and the american cancer society. Novant health prince william medical center also supported and participated in numerous community outreach events and health fairs such as the annual rotary children's "wellness festival", healthcare decisions day, the northern virginia community college health fair, haymarket day and the house of mercy's "campaign to end hunger". Part of our commitment to our patients and the community is offering free or low-cost screenings for glucose, body composition, blood pressure and hemoglobin a1c as well as partnering with our physician specialists in the fields of endocrinology, ophthalmology and podiatry to provide question and answer sessions for persons with diabetes at our annual diabetes expo held on our manassas, va campus. We also held free educational physician seminars throughout northern virginia to talk about the many health related services we provide. The 2014 physician community programs covered the specialties of cardiology, urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, pain management, pulmonology and sleep disorders. In may 1992, prince william hospital (now novant health prince william medical center), potomac hospital (now sentara northern virginia medical center), prince william medical society and the prince william health department established the prince william area free clinic. The clinic is a not-for-profit organization that provides acute and chronic medical care to uninsured residents in prince william county, va. Both hospitals continue to provide financial and human resources to care for patients at the free clinic and the greater prince william community health center. New technology & services a concurrent electronic health record (ehr) initiative is being undertaken by both the acute and ambulatory facilities in the novant health system.
