Form 990 is prepared by a CPA and sent to two officers for review. The officers also send a copy to all board members prior to filing. Comments and revisions are returned to the CPA via email.

Form 990, Part VI, Section 12C, Line 1

The organization reviews possible conflict of interest whenever a new project starts. The majority of the projects are public sector or are publicly funded through grants and include a conflict of interest policy. Reviews are also conducted when a new employee is hired. In addition, a review is also performed at the semi-annual board meetings.

Form 990, Part VI, Section 15, Line 1

The compensation for the Executive Director is reviewed annually upon employment anniversary. The review is conducted by a board member. Performance and cost of living adjustments as set by the SSA and a review of equivalent positions based on technical and professional experience in similar public sector jobs is used in determining whether a raise is warranted and if so, how much.
