T4 america - t4 america is a broad and diverse coalition of more than 400 business elected officials and organizations with the goal of bringing new voices and unusual allies to bear in the national transportation policy debate. T4 reaches out and makes the case to hundreds of national organizations, elected officials, and business owners. With its partners, the t4america campaign has positioned itself as the leading voice for reform to ensure that transportation planning and investment are based on performance measures, not merely road miles built or money spent. T4america has won mounting support, and publicity, for our specific proposals to reduce transportation-related co2 emissions by 40% in the next two decades. An example of a performance target that can and should be tied to transportation spending.

Activity 3

Communications - the other program category captures all the other key efforts by the organization's staff, including efforts to shape and influence policy outcomes beyond the authorization of the federal transportation bill, help educate and convene networks of key stakeholders that play a role in the implementation of successful equitable transit-oriented development (tod) and identifying best practices, and work with key partners like the center for housing policy, the local initiatives support corporation (lisc), enterprise community partners (ecp), living cities (lc) and others in identifying the strategies by which tod can meet a broad set of equitable community development goals.
