The use of tamper resistant receptacles prevents electric shocks and burns in children who insert foreign devices into electrical receptacles. Tamper resistant receptacle materials are available for free on ESFI's website.”

Arc-fault circuit interrupters prevent common causes of electrical fires. Arc-fault circuit interrupter materials are available for free on ESFI's website.”

“(Expenses $ 5,019 including grants of $) FEMA Assistance to firefighters: The Electrical Safety Foundation International works closely with fire departments, fire safety groups, and the National Fire Protection Association. Materials created with the assistance of FEMA, which were funded by the Fire Safety and Prevention grants, are available on ESFI's website. These materials focus on the prevention of electrical fires.”
