No committee has the authority to act on behalf of the governing body.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

The 990 is reviewed by the ceo and the treasurer and signed by the president & ceo once the tax returns are completed. The form 990, audited financials, and all financial statements are available to all members of the hispa board of directors and reviewed on a quarterly basis during board of directors meetings.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Board members are provided with the conflict of interest policy to review annually. If anyone has a conflict of interest, it is discussed by the board who then makes a decision as to the appropriate actions.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15A

The board is responsible for reviewing the annual consulting contract of the ceo. The board reviews the form 990 of other non-profit organizations whose chief management officers have a similar scope of responsibilities and qualifications to use as a benchmark for assessing whether the compensation likely to be paid to the ceo under the contract is reasonable. There are no other officers or key employees of the organization.

FORM 990, PART XII, LINE 2C:

The process has not changed from the prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and applicable state law. Income generated by activities that would be considered unrelated to the organization's mission would be subject to tax, which, if incurred, would be recognized as a current expense. No such tax has been recognized for the years ended june 30, 2024 and 2023. U.s. Gaap requires management to evaluate tax positions taken by the organization and recognize a tax liability if the organization has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by taxing authorities. Management evaluated the organization's tax positions and concluded that the organization had taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to the financial statements to comply with the provisions of this guidance. The organization did not record any interest or penalties on uncertain tax positions in the accompanying statements of financial position as of june 30, 2024 and 2023, or in the accompanying statements of activities for the years then ended. If the organization were to incur any income tax liability in the future, interest on any income tax liability would be reported as interest expense and penalties on any income tax liability would be reported as income taxes.

PART XI, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:

Special events expense 49,628.

PART XII, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:

Special events expense 49,628.

IRS990/Desc0THE HISPA ROLE MODEL PROGRAM: ENABLES EDUCATED, HIGHLY-SKILLED PROFESSIONALS TO INSPIRE YOUTH IN PREDOMINANTLY LOW-INCOME, PUBLIC MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSROOMS. BY VISITING CLASSROOMSEITHER IN PERSON OR VIRTUALLYHISPA ROLE MODELS SHARE THEIR PERSONAL STORIES AND THE PATHS THAT LED THEM TO FULFILLING CAREERS, SHOWING STUDENTS THAT THEY, TOO, CAN ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS. DURING EACH VISIT (6 HOURS OF VISITS PER SCHOOL PROGRAM, PER SCHOOL YEAR), DIFFERENT HISPA ROLE MODELS SHARE THE OBSTACLES THEY'VE OVERCOME, EMPHASIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF HIGHER EDUCATION, AND INTRODUCE POTENTIAL FUTURE CAREERS. VISITS ARE TAILORED TO SCHOOL AND STUDENT NEEDS, RANGING FROM SMALL GROUP DISCUSSIONS TO LARGE AUDITORIUM PRESENTATIONS. THE HISPA ROLE MODEL PROGRAM HAS REACHED OVER 30,000 STUDENTS TO DATE. IN 2023-24, 254 UNIQUE HISPA ROLE MODELS EXECUTED 500 ROLE MODEL PROGRAM VISITS, REACHING 2,670 STUDENTS IN 84 PROGRAMS ACROSS 35 SCHOOLS. THE HISPA ROLE MODEL PROGRAM: ON DEMAND: HISPA PROVIDES TEACHERS WITH PRE-RECORDED VIDEOS OF HISPA ROLE MODELS SHARING THEIR STORIES. LIKE THE STANDARD ROLE MODEL PROGRAM, THESE STORIES INTRODUCE COLLEGE AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AND EMPHASIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF ACADEMICS. EACH VIDEO HAS ITS OWN ACCOMPANYING LESSON PLAN CARD, PROVIDING EXAMPLES WHERE ROLE MODELS DEMONSTRATE SKILLS WHEN DEALING WITH VARIOUS SOCIAL AND GLOBAL OBSTACLES, AS WELL AS PROMPTS FOR STUDENTS TO CONNECT THESE MOMENTS WITH THEIR EVERYDAY LIVES. TEACHERS ARE FREE TO INCORPORATE THESE VIDEOS ON DEMAND AT THEIR CONVENIENCE. IN 2023-24, THIS PROGRAM MADE AT LEAST 1,000 IMPRESSIONS IN SIX SCHOOLS. HISPA ROLE MODEL PROGRAM: READY, SET, GOALS!: READY, SET, GOALS! IS A SPECIALIZED ROLE MODEL PROGRAM WHERE HISPA ROLE MODELS GUIDE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH WORKSHOPS FOCUSED ON PLANNING EDUCATION AND CAREER PATHS ALIGNED TO STUDENTS' PERSONAL GOALS. EACH OF THESE SCAFFOLDED WORKSHOPS FOCUSES ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC. WORKSHOPS ARE DIVIDED INTO FOUR SEGMENTS IN WHICH STUDENTS HEAR FROM HISPA ROLE MODELS; ENGAGE IN GUIDED SELF-REFLECTION; AND LEARN WHAT THEY CAN DO NOW, IN COLLEGE, AND BEYOND TO ACHIEVE SPECIFIC GOALS. READY, SET, GOALS! DEMONSTRATES THE IMPORTANCE OF PLANNING AND GOAL-SETTING AND HELPS STUDENTS CREATE ACTION PLANS TO PRACTICE THESE SKILLS IN THEIR OWN LIVES. IN 2023-24, THIS PROGRAM MADE ABOUT 970 IMPRESSIONS IN THREE SCHOOLS. HISPA ROLE MODEL PROGRAM: SPEAKER SERIES: IN 2023-24, HISPA PROUDLY LAUNCHED A NEW PROGRAM DESIGNED TO CONNECT STUDENTS WITH HISPA ROLE MODELS ACROSS THE NATION AND AROUND THE WORLD. THE HISPA SPEAKER SERIES BROADCASTS THEIR INSPIRATIONAL PRESENTATIONS DIRECTLY TO CLASSROOMS FOR FREE. THE HISPA SPEAKERS ARE ACCOMPLISHED AND DISTINGUISHED LEADERS WHO WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNABLE TO VISIT SCHOOLS AS PART OF THE HISPA ROLE MODEL PROGRAM. THIS YEAR'S SERIES FEATURED OUTSTANDING LEADERS WHO HAVE NAVIGATED A VARIETY OF PERSONAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND PROFESSIONAL PATHWAYS TO REALIZE THEIR AMBITIONS. IN ADDITION TO THE SCHOOLS ALREADY ENROLLED IN THE HISPA ROLE MODEL PROGRAM, THIS PROGRAM REACHED NEW SCHOOLS LIKE INFINITY INSTITUTE IN JERSEY CITY, NJ, AND BLOCKSON MIDDLE SCHOOL IN NORRISTOWN, PA, MAKING ABOUT 1,060 IMPRESSIONS ON STUDENT VIEWERS. IN ADDITION TO BRINGING HISPA ROLE MODELS TO STUDENTS' CLASSROOMS, HISPA ALSO BRINGS STUDENTS TO WORKPLACES AND COLLEGE CAMPUSES: HISPA IMAGINE DAY: WHETHER AT COMPANY HEADQUARTERS, A COLLEGE CAMPUS, OR VIA LIVESTREAM, EACH HISPA IMAGINE DAY UNITES STUDENTS WITH A GROUP OF HISPA ROLE MODELS FROM ONE GIVEN COMPANY TO DISCOVER AND EXPLORE NEW CAREER POSSIBILITIES. STUDENTS GET A GLIMPSE OF A DAY IN THE LIFE OF HIGH-SKILL PROFESSIONALS BY EXPLORING CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGIES, PARTICIPATING IN HANDS-ON INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS, AND HEARING FROM THE COMPANY'S ROLE MODELS. IN 2023-24, HISPA HELD 16 IMAGINE DAY - CORPORATE VISITS WITH 11 COMPANIES AND UNIVERSITIES, WITH 216 HISPA ROLE MODELS HOSTING 1,004 STUDENTS. HISPA YOUTH CONFERENCES: THEMED "TAKE ACTION!
