Promote high quality evidence-based screening, assessment and treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental disorders.translate and disseminate evidence-based research to clinical practice and public policy.strengthen addiction psychiatry specialty training and foster careers in addiction psychiatry.provide evidence-based addiction education to health care trainees and health professionals to enhance patient care and promote recovery.educate the public and influence public policy for the safe and humane treatment of those with substance use disorders.promote prevention and enhance addiction treatment and recovery across their lifespan.promote research on the etiology, prevention, identification and treatment of substance use and related disorders.

To promote high quality evidence-based screening, assessment and treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental disorders and to strengthen addiction psychiatry specialty training and education.

“Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require organization management to internally monitor tax positions taken by the organization to determine whether any are uncertain. A tax position is taken if it is determined that the position will "more-likely-than-not" be sustained upon examination by a taxing authority. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the organization, and has concluded that as of may 31, 2019, there were no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require the recognition of a liability or asset or disclosure in the financial statements. The organization is not currently subject to audits for any tax periods.”

AAAP EXPECTS OF THE 43 TA TEAMS TO PROVIDE TA TO AT LEAST 100 LOCAL PROVIDERS, PRACTITIONERS, OR OTHER INDIVIDUALS (I.E., TA RECIPIENTS) WHO, WITH OUR TA, WILL BE BETTER EQUIPPED TO DIRECTLY ADDRESS THE OPIOID EPIDEMIC THROUGH PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND/OR RECOVERY SERVICES FOR A TOTAL OF 1,497,300 INDIVIDUALS SERVED IN YEAR ONE.
