The organization amended its governing documents to change the prior two - tier membership structure to a single - tier membership structure, to allow trucking manufacturers, suppliers and commercial vehicle companies to join as members and to clarify the governance responsibilities of the board, executive committee and executive director.

Auto-ISAC Board members with voting rights (primary directors) are equal to the number of the OEM members who are "board eligible" per the ISAC's operating rules). The affiliate advisory board chair, the affiliate advisory board vice chair, the supplier affinity group chair, and the commercial vehicle affinity group chair will also serve as voting directors, but only if there are at least 5 members in each affinity group. There is also a providion for alternate directors" - each Board eligible OEM member may designate one alternate director; the affiliate advisory board directors may also appoint alternate directors. the alternate directors are permitted to vote at a board meeting only if the primary director is not pressent. Each board eligible OEM member appoints its own primary and alternate directors. Each director serves a 1 year term; each term begins on january 1 of the calendar year following his or her appointment. Reappointments are permitted.

AUTO-ISAC WAS SET UP TOWARD THE END OF 2015 TO SERVE THE GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY. There is also a providion for alternate directors" - each Board eligible OEM member may designate one alternate director; the affiliate advisory board directors may also appoint alternate directors. the alternate directors are permitted to vote at a board meeting only if the primary director is not pressent. Each board eligible OEM member appoints its own primary and alternate directors. Each director serves a 1 year term; each term begins on january 1 of the calendar year following his or her appointment. Reappointments are permitted.
