2021/22 season programming: chatterbirds 2021/22 season included the presentation of two ticketed mainstage events as the ensemble collaborated with solo artists leyla mccalla and vasilis kostas. Both concerts also featured accompanying education and community outreach initiatives in collaboration with local nonprofit partners. Additionally, chatterbird presented one virtual project, two touring performances (at big ears festival and butler university), and three free community performances. Combined attendance at these events was 2,470. Engagement with freely available previous season video content remained strong, with more than 10,000 impressions over the course of the fiscal year. Chatterbird's work in the 2021/22 season was recognized with a "best of nashville" award along with multiple critics' picks, reviews, and media mentions. The ensemble employed 45 artists over the course of the fiscal year and contributed to the vibrancy of the regional arts scene, receiving a "best creative programming" nod emphasizing the ensemble's ability to create a "strong sense of place and personal connection" in the southern arts landscape, per the nashville scene.
