“Chatterbird's primary purpose is to create innovative chamber music experiences that educate and inspire diverse audiences while supporting musicians and composers through new music projects.”

“2022/2023 season programming: chatterbirds 2022/23 season included the presentation of two ticketed mainstage events, featuring collaborations with cellist joshua dent, spoken word artist tavius marshall, the vanderbilt curb center, and the blair school of music composition faculty. Additionally, chatterbird presented four free collaborative community concerts in partnership with nashville chamber music series, make music nashville, and the university of tennessee contemporary music festival. Combined attendance at these events was 900+. Engagement with freely available previous season video content remained strong, with more than 10,000 impressions over the course of the fiscal year. Chatterbird also wrapped up a year-long residency featuring four musicians exploring and creating site-specific music in places of racial trauma across the south. Chatterbird's work in the 2022/23 season continued to receive positive critical response, including multiple critics' picks, reviews, and media mentions. The ensemble employed 45 artists over the course of the fiscal year.”
