Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

A copy of the institute's form 990 is reviewed by the management team and then is provided to the full board of directors after filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The conflict of interest policy is reviewed and attested to annually by all the members of the institute's board of directors. Through their conscious efforts during the decision-making process, the institute refrains from entering into transactions which are in violation of the policy. It is the continuing responsibility of the board of directors to scrutinize their transactions outside business interests and relationships for the potential conflicts and to immediately make such disclosure to the board.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Hti is generally exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Hti applies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes guidance, fasb codification topic 740, "accounting for income taxes". The accounting guidance prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return and also provides guidance on various related matters such as derecognition, interest, penalties and disclosures required. Hti recognizes interest and penalties, if any, related to unrecognized tax benefits in the applicable operating expense account. Federal and state returns for the fiscal years ended march 31, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 remain open and are subject to examination, hti had no unrelated business income in the year ended march 31, 2025.
