The choir scholarship program provided over 50 scholarships to low-income community members for participation in choral programs. The organization's largest program, West Marin Choir, engaged 130 singers with 115 hours of rehearsal and 7 performances and brought joyful music into the lives of more than 1,300 audience members.The Winter and Spring 2019 seasons both included performances of over 30 singers in Stinson Beach and Point Reyes, including a special session on Latino music with resident artist Jacob Leyva, a Latino musician.El Coro de los Muertos (The Choir of the Dead) performed at West Marins Day of the Dead ceremony and parade in the fall, creating the musical accompaniment for this important multicultural community gathering of hundreds of people to honor Latino culture and tradition.The choirs Holiday 2019 session engaged over 60 singers in two West Marin towns to study repertoire of traditional European holiday music, engaging resident artist Kristine Barrett. The group performed at two free community festivals, for hundreds of people, including Point Reyes Path of Lights. The Miwok Music Project provided online resources at miwokmusic.org that reached over 1,200 people seeking information about indigenous music and transcriptions.In the winter/spring semester of 2019, Sound Orchard sponsored the Young Musicians Program which served 60 children age 5-12 with weekly music classes in-school and in the after-school childrens choirs. The local children served are nearly 60% English learners, many from low-income families spread across rural West Marin with limited access to music education.$95,692-
