IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0Raise Up:- Raise Up Vermont: Starting in January, 2019 through the end of the Legislative Session in June of 2019 more than two hundreds RAD members advocated for passing bills to raise the minimum wage and establish paid family and medical leave. Through their emails, letters, and testimony they told their stories to Vermont legislators. - Raise Up New Hampshire: Given NHs minimum wage is the worst in the entire Northeast region of the country, our members continued to raise awareness of the negative impact on poverty wages on our economy and communities. We supported efforts in the Legislature to advance a minimum wage increase and paid family leave, but all efforts were blocked by the reactionary right wing Governor. With the national elections bringing Presidential candidates to the Granite State, RAD members submitted letters to the editor and op-eds raising the awareness of the need to raise the federal minimum wage. These efforts were also lifted up during Presidential forums where our members asked questions to candidates.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0Movement Politics:- RAD continued to encourage members and supporters to serve in elected office and conducted workshops for people to learn the basics in running for office. - In the lead up to the 2020 Presidential Primary, our members conducted a survey of candidates and invited them to meet. On October 31,2019 Senator Bernie Sanders invited RAD members to meet in Claremont, NH and on November 2, 2019 Senator Elizabeth Warren had a phone call with members. On November 16, RAD members held their Annual Membership Assembly with special guest Senator Nina Turner and announced their endorsement of Senator Sanders.

IRS990ScheduleC/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0We had an endorsement process to allow members to vote on whom the organization would endorse, if at all, in the presidential primary. Some of our expenditures were for staff time for planning, communications with members, and devising the voting process. The bulk of our expenditures were for the planning and preparation of a "Presidential Forum" to further this endorsement process and to garner attention for Democratic candidates, but this event ultimately did not occur because it happened to coincide with the time frame when Senator Sanders was taken ill with a heart attack. The volunteer hours ar an estimate based on waht it may have taken our members, cumulatively, to "vote" in the endorsement process. We did not make payments to any 527 organizations.
