“Erap is dedicated to providing post critical incident care to all emergency first responders and their families who are experiencing emotional trauma due to a critical incident.”
“2018 once again was productive year for our nonprofit. We held two post critical incident seminars and had the honor to serve 39 first responders and 20 spouses and/or significant others. In addition, we served 30 different agencies from oklahoma and within the united states throughout the 2018. Our organization continues to develop peer support team members to serve our participants by holding critical incident stress management training, we completed two training sessions in 2018. Furthermore, we provide a pcis emersion training opportunity for existing peers who would like to serve as erap pcis peers, this training occurs during our seminars. Each seminar that we hold requires a minimum of 10 peers; therefore, our goal is to have an inventory of 50 peers to draw from. Our mission has remained consistent; however, we continue to evolve the content of our program to keep it relevant so to meet the needs of our participants. During 2018, we also participated in four seminar presentations, attended and participated in three conferences as either presenters or manned information tables. Our participation continues to exposure our organization to police, fire, and other law enforcement agencies in oklahoma and throughout the nation. The emergency responder assistant program continues to have the same mental health director and team that we have had since 2015 which provides for consistency and the trust and confidence of the agencies that we serve. Our goal in future years is to hold a minimum of three seminars in oklahoma per year.”
