“2016 was a busy year for the emergency responders assistance program. This year, we added five impactful board members, four advisory council members and two psychologists to expand our mental health team to five members. Our new advisory council members represent our expansion into the northern and southern oklahoma. In addition, we are active in the oklahoma association of police chiefs, which has allowed us to spread our message throughout the state to touch as many first responders and family members in need as possible. Furthemore, this year we were provided an opportunity to join international association of chiefs of police. This is a domestic u.s. And global organization that further expands our name and reach to police chiefs across the globe. During 2016, we had the honor to serve thirty-seven first responders and family members who have experienced emotional trauma due to their involvement with critical incidences. Since our beginning, we have now served sixty. Our clients come from many different agencies that serve our communities from city to state agencies. This year we developed significant partnerships with agencies that provide food for our seminars, hotels that partner with us to provide reduced rates and have assisted us with specific rooms for our clinical team, a local church that donated space and drinks for the participants, local restaurants that assisted with additional food and drinks when needed, and community organizations that were willing to support us in any way possible to help us accomplish our goal of serving our first responders. This year we accomplished a few major organizational milestones: - completed our governance and financial operations manuals - created a location on our website to post our financial results - established a relathionship with a talented cpa firm - established a process/link on our website for donations. As we look towards 2017, it is full of optimism and intense focus. The combination of our experience, outstanding clinical team, new board and advisory members who will bring forth experience and skills which will elevate erap to the next level. Our goals for 2017: - host three post critical incident seminars and serve at least sixty first responders - begin the process for consideration to become a united way organization - hold one large community fund raiser - establish an assertive fund raising process - increase our community contact network - establish new relathionships in arizona, colorado, and new mexico to bring their first responders to oklahoma for our pcis with a focus on creating a future onsite pcis in az. - launch our media campaign.”
