The cfo for the managing agent receives the 990 from the auditor and reviews the form. The 990 is reviewed by the cpa with the board of directors as a part of the annual audit meeting prior to filing with the irs.

The managing agent reviews the conflict of interest statements signed by board members annually for each property. If a conflict arises, the managing agent monitors the transaction to ensure it is conducted at arms-length. The managing agent discourages this type of relationship and recommends an alternative situation if at all possible.
