The poughkeepsie alliance is a collaborative of local leaders working together to complete transformative projects that impact the economic well-being of the queen city and improve quality of life for those that call it home. The poughkeepsie alliance is dedicated to improving the quality of life in poughkeepsie by promoting economic revitalization and community development. We partner with citizens, private, public, and nonprofit organizations to drive positive change and foster a strong, united community.

“The organization has completed construction work with mass design group in securing funding for the corey ingram roundabout project. The name of this roundabout is dedicated to the memory of corey ingram, a 28-year old poughkeepsie native who was killed in the line of duty while serving as a u.s. Navy technician. The traffic circle is a memorial to his dedication to service, kindness and love of his hometown. The goal of this project was to transform the northside roundabout to a welcoming gateway for the city of poughkeepsie. The competed project includes an illuminated structure with the name "poughkeepsie" visible from both sides, along with a sidewalk of plaques of leaders who have made significant contributions to the community. This project also provided poughkeepsie high school students the opportunity to intern and learn specific trade skills with a metal vendor that worked on the project. In 2024, the organization also commenced work on its gateway signage project located on academy street, poughkeepsie, ny.”
