Mission

To serve women in the theatre by expanding employment options, improving salary, and removing barriers to growth and achievement through mentorship, internship, research, outreach, support, and networking to empower them to reach their full potential by bridging the gap between passion, preparation, and opportunity. Research: to conduct research pertaining to women's roles in the theatre world including, but not limited to, issues such as salary gap, opportunity for management and leadership positions, availability of jobs, and other obstacles faced by women in the industry, and to use said research to improve the discourse concerning the issues faced by women in the theatre. Opportunity: to provide program templates, grant support, and other means of assistance, as determined by the statera foundation board of directors, for the creation of apprenticeships, internships, and other positions for women in the theatre. ALL FOUR CONFERENCES HAVE BEEN WELL ATTENDED WITH PRAISE FOR THE INFORMATION PROVIDED.THE FOURTH NATIONAL CONFERENCE THIS YEAR IN NEW YORK CITY BROUGHT TOGETHER OVER 200 ATTENDEES FOR SEMINARS ON GENDER PARITY IN THE ARTS. STATERA HAS ALSO CONDUCTED AN ACTIVE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR WOMEN IN THEATER, WHICH IS NOW NATIONWIDE. CHAPTERS OF THE ORGANIZATION HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE REGIONAL ACCESS TO SERVICES, RESOURCES AND MENTORSHIPS. Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Statera has hosted four annual conferences bringing together women in theater for seminars focused on the mission of the organization. All four conferences have been well attended with praise for the information provided.the fourth national conference this year in new york city brought together over 200 attendees for seminars on gender parity in the arts. Statera has also conducted an active mentorship program for women in theater, which is now nationwide. Chapters of the organization have been established to provide regional access to services, resources and mentorships. To date the mentorship program in chicago and north carolina has matched over 300 women in each area. A free resource directory for women artists has also been launched.
