Mission

Our purpose is to prevent CMV infection in women of childbearing age, by:Empowering women, parents, families and local community networks through grassroots engagement to facilitate conversation and champion the causeDelivering consistent, clear messaging and evidence-based data that aids in prevention, educates the public and increases its understanding of congenital CMVInfluencing CMV research prioritiesAdvocating for a CMV vaccine

Our program activities are focused around congenital CMV education and advocacy. We deliver education about congenital CMV to women of childbearing age through digital platforms, strategic partnerships, public health initiatives, and grassroots advocacy efforts. We advocate for the screening of newborns so we may properly evaluate and identify these babies to enroll them in the proper treatment as standard of care. Our programs include the CMV Community Alliance; education & outreach services targeting the women of childbearing age and general public, childcare providers, and healthcare providers; advocacy support; public health awareness mini grants; and early career research awards
