“La casa de la salud (lcs) has implemented diverse action with partners on initiatives to address the basic needs of the hispanic community. Lcs aligns these actions with its mission to contribute to the health improvement and well-being of the hispanic community by facilitating access to health services and other resources. Through the connection of thirty community health workers, lcs delivered food to more than 1,007 inidviduals in the community during 2020. In addition, lcs utilized the community health workers in the central virignia region with the aim to reduce the incidence and prevalence of covid-19 amount people of latino and hispanic orgin. Lcs has done this through providing information, eductation, guidance and follow-up on covid-19 safety measures to the latino and hispanic population along with providing documentation of their work into the data system with the health districts.”
