Shout Mouse Press is a nonprofit writing and publishing program dedicated to amplifying underheard voices. Through writing workshops that lead to professional publication, we empower those from marginalized back- grounds to tell their own stories in their own voices and, as published authors, to act as leaders and agents of change.

“Beginning in FY 20 we separated the program previously named as "Author Empowerment" into its two component tracks: Author Talks and Author Pathways. Author Talks Program trains and provides paid public speaking engagements to our youth authors. Author Pathways provides other professional development opportunities like internships, support with college/scholarship applications, and includes all direct aid and scholarship contributions to author communities.”
