“The return is reviewed by the board before filing.”
“Per conflict of interest policy, board members sign on conflict of interest policy memo. It is reviewed on an annual basis, and any issues with a conflict is discussed by the board.”
“Compensation process for top official llvm's president is the only paid officer. Her compensation has been reviewed by the board and compared to market data. Given her educational background and experience, her compensation has been determined to be nominal considering the amount of time that is devoted. Much of her time is essentially "donated" to the organization in fulfillment of its mission.”
“Conflict of interest, articles, bylaws, and board minutes are available online.”

This program also includes educational materials such as instructional videos and the full video recordings from our developer meetings that are available free to anyone. The llvm project is becoming one of the top platforms of choice for compiler research at universities. The grants & scholarships program is designed to support student travel to the llvm developers' meetings and other conferences that students may attend and present their llvm and compiler related work. Lastly, our women in compilers & tools program aims to increase female participation in the llvm project and the field of compilers and tools. We hope to achieve this by increasing awareness of the llvm project at various technical conferences with strong female participation, established a mentor program, and lower barriers of entry for this field.”
“Code generation and optimization (cgo), a well known academic conference. The 2-day program included a half day hacking and networking session, a poster session with 8 posters, 17 technical talks, 6 birds of a feather sessions, 7 lighting talks, and 3 tutorials. Technical talks, which are 30 minute in-depth talks, included topics such as clang. Libc++, linkers, opencl, static analysis, renderscript, lldb, arm code size, and more. Slides and video recordings were posted on the public website and made available for free. The 2016 us llvm developers' meeting meeting was held in san jose, ca and hosted 434 attendees. Attendance increased by 24% over the previous year making it the largest us llvm developers' meeting and one of the largest compiler conferences in the world. This 2-day event featured a half day hacking and networking session, 23 technical talks, 10 birds of a feather sessions, 14 lightning talks, and 10 posters. Technical talks are 35 minute in-depth talks on topics such as link time optimizations, just in time compilation, global instruction selection, optimizations, clang tooling, vectorization, and more. The llvm foundation organized a gathering during lunch for the llvm foundation's women in compilers and tools program which aims to increase women involvement in compilers, tools, and the llvm project. All talks and tutorials were recorded and the videos and presentation slides were made available for free on the public website. Lastly, the llvm foundation continued its participation with the google summer of code (gsoc) program through organization of mentors and supporting mentor travel reimbursement to the gsoc summit. The gsoc program helps students become involved in the llvm project by assigning each a mentor who can provide guidance during the 3 month project. This year we had 10 students and 10 mentors participating. This program is a key piece of ensuring the long term health and growth of the llvm project community.”
“Unfortunately, the presenter of this work was unable to attend due to an unexpected family emergency, but the poster will be repurposed for other conferences in the future.”

THE 2016 EUROPEAN LLVM DEVELOPERS' MEETING (EUROLLVM) WAS IN BARCELONA, SPAIN. 250 ATTENDEES FROM INDUSTRY, ACADEMIA, AND RESEARCH BACKGROUNDS ATTENDED EUROLLVM. THIS YEAR WE CO-LOCATED WITH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON CODE GENERATION AND OPTIMIZATION (CGO), A WELL KNOWN ACADEMIC CONFERENCE. THIS PROGRAM IS A KEY PIECE OF ENSURING THE LONG TERM HEALTH AND GROWTH OF THE LLVM PROJECT COMMUNITY. |

WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE THIS BY INCREASING AWARENESS OF THE LLVM PROJECT AT VARIOUS TECHNICAL CONFERENCES WITH STRONG FEMALE PARTICIPATION, ESTABLISHED A MENTOR PROGRAM, AND LOWER BARRIERS OF ENTRY FOR THIS FIELD. THIS YEAR, WE HAD A POSTER ACCEPTED AT THE GRACE HOPPER CELEBRATION WHICH IS THE TOP CONFERENCE FOR WOMEN IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND HOSTS OVER 15,000 ATTENDEES. THE POSTER WAS DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE COMPILERS AND THE LLVM PROJECT TO ATTENDEES, HIGHLIGHT THE VALUES OF CONTRIBUTING TO AN OPEN SOURCE PROJECT, AND PROVIDE A GETTING STARTED GUIDE TO HOW TO GET INVOLVED. UNFORTUNATELY, THE PRESENTER OF THIS WORK WAS UNABLE TO ATTEND DUE TO AN UNEXPECTED FAMILY EMERGENCY, BUT THE POSTER WILL BE REPURPOSED FOR OTHER CONFERENCES IN THE FUTURE. |
