Evermore is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of bereaved individuals children and families. We advocate for meaningful policy change work to advance bereavement science and cultivate innovative bereavement programming in communities nationwide. To achieve this mission we work across health social and economic issues that are central to preserving the rights dignity and solvency of all bereaved individuals. We are accelerating lasting social change using data and science to drive policy and practice change for all bereaved children and families.

Deaths from suicide, gun violence, overdose, and illnesses including covid-19 are regular headlines, yet bereavement and bereavement care remain absent in our public health dialogues. Bereavement is an invisible crisis.evermore is the only organization in the nation working to change the social paradigm of death and bereavement. We are the nation's central resource for bereavement care policies and standards. It is the gravitational center for organized citizenship and local empowerment. It sets a coordinated, national agenda and strategy, and facilitates institutional change among the public and private sector in the united states for all american families.thanks to efforts across the country, evermore successfully advocated for and won inclusion of bereavement care as a health priority in the 2021 federal budget for 2021. As a result of our work, the U.S. government is taking multiple actions to address and accelerate the nation's response to bereavement, so that everyday Americans are no longer coping with few quality resources and support. |
