The purpose of this foundation shall be to ensure the future of three rivers fine & performing arts programs and assist the directors and student members with any worthwhile undertaking or venture that would promote, support, and benefit the fine & performing arts programs of taylor high school, taylor middleschool, and three rivers elementary school,including but not limited to affiliated groups: instrumental music, vocal music, theater arts, general music, and visual arts and all of their affiliate groups.such assistance shall be done without attempting to direct the functions or policies of the board of education, the administration, or its teachers.

The high school symphonic band has 63 students and the jazz ensemble has 16 students. The marching yellowjackets have 50 members. The marching band had a winning season, taking first place at all captions at three mid-states band competitions.”
“The three rivers theatre department involves over 150 students through the year, putting on three productions. In the fall, kindergarten through 12th grade performed descendants jr. The high school production put on bright star in the winter, and middle school produced once on this island jr. In the spring. The high school students take part in the cappies organization, with student critics attending and writing articles about local productions. Our students won three categories: logan duerk for male dancer, elayna bender for comedic actress and justin hughes for male vocalist at the at the cappies gala in may. The acclaim foundation helped make considerable improvements to the technical department through a massive upgrade to the lighting system and improved tools for building sets.”
“The 5-12 choir program has over 300 students singing in at least one choir. The high school program alone consists of approximately 25% of the high school population. Select 7th and 8th graders performed in the local, district 14 junior high honor choir in january, which the acclaim foundation helped host. Taylor high school choirs performed around the community, supporting local groups with their voices.”
“Art classes are offered k-12th grade. After school clubs and enrichment classes are also offered. Art shows occur throughout the year for each grade level and are showcased at the fine arts day in spring. Visual art activities include those connected with conducting art shows and educational/enrichment camps, purchasing art supplies, paying art conference dues, contest entry fees, and camp scholarships. At taylor about 45% of high school students are involved in the visual arts. The high school visual arts program offers college prep as well as honors level art courses. There are three different ap art & design classes offered: drawing, 2d, and 3d. Ap art & design students have a 92% passing rate for these college level classes.”

THE ACCLAIM FOUNDATION HELPED MAKE CONSIDERABLE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT THROUGH A MASSIVE UPGRADE TO THE LIGHTING SYSTEM AND IMPROVED TOOLS FOR BUILDING SETS. |

AT TAYLOR ABOUT 45% OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE INVOLVED IN THE VISUAL ARTS. THE HIGH SCHOOL VISUAL ARTS PROGRAM OFFERS COLLEGE PREP AS WELL AS HONORS LEVEL ART COURSES. THERE ARE THREE DIFFERENT AP ART & DESIGN CLASSES OFFERED: DRAWING, 2D, AND 3D. AP ART & DESIGN STUDENTS HAVE A 92% PASSING RATE FOR THESE COLLEGE LEVEL CLASSES. |
