The public education system is failing to deliver an effective learning environment of culturally-relevant instruction that benefits Black/African American students in an equitable way. This educational failure is undermining the Black/African American community at its foundation. The Black Education Strategy Roundtable tackles some of our communities' toughest problems by advocating for educational change, reform and transformation. Our mission is to achieve systemic changes in education that result in excellence and equity for Black/African American students at all levels of the education continuum and raise the bar for all students. We work to achieve the goal of 100% of Black/African American students will graduate with a meaningful high school diploma, exceptionally prepared for college, work, productive citizenship and life.
