Committed to providing for the health of the community, North Texas Healthy Communities (NTHC) plans to be involved in a variety of projects which will help the community at large. NTHC plans to partner with schools, churches, local businesses, city government and chambers of commerce in a collaborative effort to identify community health issues and to appropriately address these issues to build healthier communities. The types of programs and activities which NTHC intends to provide to the community will include projects such as: *Partnering with north central Texas cities to create permanent and semi-permanent environmental changes. *Establishing community challenges to increase community engagement and well-being improvement. *Establishing employer challenges throughout North Texas encouraging well-being improvements among their employees. *Adding healthier options to restaurant menus *Working with school districts to improve the well-being of their workforce and student population.
