Mission

The travis mills foundation supports recalibrated veterans and their families through long-term programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well- deserved rest and relaxation.

The Travis Mills Foundation (TMF) is dedicated to providing programs that directly benefit and assist military veteran families. The Travis Mills Foundation is uniquely positioned to lead the nation in direct veteran family assistance, support, and healing. TMF provides a fully accessible family retreat especially for combat wounded veteran families. During retreat weeks, veterans and their families unite with the land, water, nature and each other to revitalize and to keep moving forward. The retreat plays an essential role in recovery, camaraderie, spousal support, reconnection, relaxation, and reintegration.

Travis Mills Foundation is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and has also been determined by the Internal Revenue Service not to be a "private foundation" within the meaning of Section 509(a)(1) of the Code. Management believes it has no uncertain tax positions with the Internal Revenue Service that require disclosure in the financial statements. The Organization's federal Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax (Form 990) and Exempt Organization Business Income Tax Return (Form 990-T) for 2017, 2016 and 2015 are subject to examination by the IRS, generally for three years after they were filed.
