The world forestry center, hoyt arboretum friends, and the portland japanese garden (whose directors sit on the board) all have business relationships with the city of portland parks & recreation (whose director sits on the board).

The finance comittee shall review the annual form 990 and timely report to the board the results of its review. All board members shall be provided a copy of the form 990 for review before it is filed with the internal revenue service.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The wptma board is responsible for monitoring the transactions between wptma and insiders to ensure that any transaction between wptma and an insider that is a conflict of interest is fair to wptma and does not grant excessive benefit to the insider. In order to ensure compliance, the officers, directors, and key employees each year, disclose in writing interest that could give rise to a conflict under the policy. On an annual basis, wptma's secretary or the secretary's designee develop and maintain a list of insiders who engage in or are reasonably likely to engage in transactions that constitute conflicts with wptma during the year. The secretary or the secretary's designee monitors and enforces compliance with this policy by reviewing the list of insiders, if any, and bringing potential or actual conflicts to the attention of the president or the board.

The board decides on the compensation and benefits to offer the executive director based on data from several sources. The executive director is asked to sign a compensation agreement. The performance of the executive director is reviewed by the board and any salary/benefit adjustments are agreed upon. The executive director is then subject to a performance review on an annual basis.

Other program services 4: park planning and one park programming:explore washington park worked with the board to develop a transportation access plan and a funding plan to support the transportation projects.ewp continued to implement several of the plans that were adopted through the washington park strategic operations plan. These include the parkwide diversity, equity and inclusion plan, and the parkwide marketing plan.ewp staff hosted multiple parkwide events for washington park staff and volunteers to promote the holistic vision and approach to the park. In addition, ewp's front-line staff cross-trained with staff from various venues and partners, including travel portland. Other program services 5: metro grant - equity and inclusion:through a grant from metro, ewp provided the following to underserved populations: . Staffed 11 tabling events . Provided over almost 4,000 transit passes for underserved individuals to access the park . More than a dozen community partnerships established to distribute transit passes to marginalized communities. . Multingual outreach: grant funding supported the production of two spanish- language videos promoting the park and its destinations to non-native emglish speakers. . Inclusive representation: funding enable a photoshoot to visually showcase underrepresented groups enjoying the park. . Marketing impact: 40% of online-portal request submissions came through our marketing efforts and community partnerships. . Visitor data: metro rto grant-funded surveys indicate a yoy increase in visits from bipoc communities and families earning less than $25,000 annually.
