“As a statewide not for profit downtown revitalization education organization, the nebraska main street network provides training and technical assistance to local institutions, organizations, and individuals who are working to preserve historic resources and create business and job opportunities in nebraska. The organization provides educational activities including workshops, webinars, information resources, a web site and communication.”

“The nebraska main street network contracted for the delivery of services including training, technical assistance and information resources in the areas of organizational development, strategic planning and historic preservation to 16 program communities and answered requests for information or technical assistance from 39 other nebraska communities. The nebraska main street network pays the dues for 16 communities to belong to the national main street center where they have access to additional resources and technical assistance from expertise in downtown revitalization throughout the u.s. The nebraska main street network made presentations across the state at meetings, conferences and by special invitation by communities. Training was provided in person as well as through fee-based webinars. Further outreach to communities was done through mail, telephone, email and social media. In addition, the program used skype to link with local main street communities to deliver technical assistance and information resources to boards of directors and committees.”
