“Line 990-EZ, Part III - Primary Exempt Purpose As a statewide not for profit downtown revitalizatiion and education organization, the Nebraska Main Street Network provides training and technical assistance to local institutions, organizations and individuals who are working to preserve historic resources and create businesses and job opportunities in Nebraska. The organization provides educational activities including workshops, webinars, information resources, a website and communications.”

“The Nebraska Main Street Network contracted for the delivery of services, including training, technical assistance and information resources in the area of organizational development, strategic planning and historic preservation to 18 program communities and provided training, consulting services or answered information requests from an additional 80 communities and multiple state and Federal agencies. The Nebraska Main Street Network Center pays the dues for 7 communities to belong to the National Mainstreet Center, where they have access to additional resources and techinical assistance from expertise in downtown revitalization throughout the US. The Nebraska Main Street Network delivered informaitonal presentations across the state at meetings, conferences amd by special invitation by communities or other non-profit organizations. Training was provided in person as well as through webinars in partnership with the Nebraska State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). Further outreach to communities was done through mail, telephone, email and social media. In addition, the program used ZOOM and conference call capabilities to link with local Main Street Commiunities to deliver information or technical assitance to local boards of directors and committees.”
