Mission

To continue to facilitate the long term community recovery effort from the devastating explosion that occurred in west, texas on april 17,2013, and to serve the community of west for the benefit of future generations by continuing to rebuild, repair and strengthen the community and neighborhoods, repair and cultivate the historic downtown, and preserve the culture that is uniquely west.

This non-profit collaborates with charitable,faith-based and civic organizaitons as well as local and state governments to provide education about available resources,share information to simplify the access to those resources, address the long-term needs of individuals,businesses,the community, the city west and organizations affected by the disaster.

The foundation formed a compensation committee to review the annual compensation of the executive director and to provide a recommendation for salary and benefits to the board. The committee reviewed the policy for board approval of compensation adopted by the national council of nonprofits, the charity navigator: 2014 ceo compensation study, the pay scales on executive compensation from irs publication on governance and related topics - 501(c)(3) organizations. After review and discussion of these tools, the committee determined a recommendation which the provided to the board.
