“To provide low cost and no cost immigration legal services. Activities are focused on those fleeing violence from northern mexico seeking asylum in the united states of america. Creating us taxpayers from immigrants is obtained through proper work authorizations.”

“Detained court - completed and won 7 asylum cases in the detained court in el paso texas. This included submitting multiple submissions to the court and arguing the case before the immigration judge, questioning witnesses and at times submitting a written closing argument. These clients came from cameroon, the gambia, and honduras. Lost 2 asylum cases in the detained court; one case for a guatemalan and another for a pakistani. The pakistani had won his case initially when he represented himself, but the government appealed, it was returned to the court and the non-profit assisted with the appeal. Both men lost their cases and were deported. In addition to the above, asylum cases were prepared and documents submitted for the 11 other asylum cases in the detained court. These individuals came from venezuela, nicaragua, cameroon, el salvadoran, ethiopia and mexico. These cases were not argued in 2018. Prepared board of immigration appeals for 5 cases; 4 cameroonians and 1 honduran first accomplishment, continued non-detained court - argued 1 asylum case; a 4 member family from mexico. Lost the case but filed the notice of appeal. Waiting for a briefing schedule. Represented two individuals, one from nigeria and the other from mexico who adjusted their legal status in the court. Prepared asylum cases for a women from liberia, a family of three from venezuela, a family of 4 from mexico. Waiting for hearings to be held; scheduled for 2020. Uscis - represented one woman from yemen who became a us citizen. Represented a young man from venezuela and he became a resident.represented a syrian, 2 venezuelans, and a mexican at affirmative asylum hearings. Won the mexican case and the others were referred. Completed and submitted 3 i-485 applications and 11 i-765 applications for 2018. Attended the three individuals for the i 485 adjustment hearings and they were all granted resident status. All of the work authorizations were granted. Consulted with approximately 6 nmsu students and advised them on their cases and assisted two to be reinstated with f-1 visas.”
