SOCIAL IMPACT FUND IS A FUNDING OPPORTUNITY OPEN TO LOCAL 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE IMPROVING LIVES AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH THEIR WORK IN ONE OF THREE FOCUS AREAS: CHILDREN'S HEALTH AND WELLNESS, CINCINNATI POVERTY/FINANCIAL INSECURITY, AND YOUTH TECHNOLOGY INITIATIVES. IN 2020 A 30,000 WAS AWARDED TO ADVENTURE CREW FOR THE CREW CARES: OUTDOOR ADVENTURE THERAPY PILOT PROGRAM (20,000 WAS PAID IN 2020 AND 10,000 IN 2021). ADDITIONAL 1,000 WAS AWARDED TO THREE OTHER LOCAL NONPROFTS EACH.$23,000$23,000

Social impact fund is a funding opportunity open to local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are improving lives and communities through their work in one of three focus areas: children's health and wellness, cincinnati poverty/financial insecurity, and youth technology initiatives. In 2020 a 30,000 was awarded to adventure crew for the crew cares: outdoor adventure therapy pilot program (20,000 was paid in 2020 and 10,000 in 2021). Additional 1,000 was awarded to three other local nonprofts each.

Tech2thrive provides access to high-quality it career opportunities for an untapped talent pool in low-employment areas within the region. By matching existing business needs to trained it talent, we are able to best serve our local businesses while simultaneously changing the socioeconomic trajectory of the underemployed in our community. The program provides free it training to the selected individuals. After completing the course ans securing a position in it industry, graduates are expected to pay the cost of the training back over the period of time. The funds are then used for future training. In 2020, 4 individuals completed the program, three of which were promplty hired by local companies.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 30

Southwest ohio give camp - is a weekend-long event that brings together a community of volunteers who donate their time and talents to provide web and software solutions for local non-profit organizations. Six local nonprofits received free it solutions during 2020 give camp weekend. 38 volunteers participated in various projects. We reached out to past non-profits to see what kind of small enhancements or bug fixes volunteers could pick up and work on their own. The entire event was remote with people logging into virtual meetings to discuss any challenges or to seek assistance in resolving the request they had picked up. Over the course of the weekend, volunteers completed updates to wordpress sites, designed new brochures and layouts for websites, completed resolved both mailchimp and squarespace issues reported by the various non-profits. Estimated number of volunteer hours served was 122. The event was scaled down significantly during covid-19 pandemic as compared to previous years.

IN 2020 A 30,000 WAS AWARDED TO ADVENTURE CREW FOR THE CREW CARES: OUTDOOR ADVENTURE THERAPY PILOT PROGRAM (20,000 WAS PAID IN 2020 AND 10,000 IN 2021). ADDITIONAL 1,000 WAS AWARDED TO THREE OTHER LOCAL NONPROFTS EACH.

BY MATCHING EXISTING BUSINESS NEEDS TO TRAINED IT TALENT, WE ARE ABLE TO BEST SERVE OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY CHANGING THE SOCIOECONOMIC TRAJECTORY OF THE UNDEREMPLOYED IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES FREE IT TRAINING TO THE SELECTED INDIVIDUALS. AFTER COMPLETING THE COURSE ANS SECURING A POSITION IN IT INDUSTRY, GRADUATES ARE EXPECTED TO PAY THE COST OF THE TRAINING BACK OVER THE PERIOD OF TIME. THE FUNDS ARE THEN USED FOR FUTURE TRAINING. IN 2020, 4 INDIVIDUALS COMPLETED THE PROGRAM, THREE OF WHICH WERE PROMPLTY HIRED BY LOCAL COMPANIES.

SIX LOCAL NONPROFITS RECEIVED FREE IT SOLUTIONS DURING 2020 GIVE CAMP WEEKEND. 38 VOLUNTEERS PARTICIPATED IN VARIOUS PROJECTS. WE REACHED OUT TO PAST NON-PROFITS TO SEE WHAT KIND OF SMALL ENHANCEMENTS OR BUG FIXES VOLUNTEERS COULD PICK UP AND WORK ON THEIR OWN. THE ENTIRE EVENT WAS REMOTE WITH PEOPLE LOGGING INTO VIRTUAL MEETINGS TO DISCUSS ANY CHALLENGES OR TO SEEK ASSISTANCE IN RESOLVING THE REQUEST THEY HAD PICKED UP. OVER THE COURSE OF THE WEEKEND, VOLUNTEERS COMPLETED UPDATES TO WORDPRESS SITES, DESIGNED NEW BROCHURES AND LAYOUTS FOR WEBSITES, COMPLETED RESOLVED BOTH MAILCHIMP AND SQUARESPACE ISSUES REPORTED BY THE VARIOUS NON-PROFITS. ESTIMATED NUMBER OF VOLUNTEER HOURS SERVED WAS 122. THE EVENT WAS SCALED DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC AS COMPARED TO PREVIOUS YEARS.
