Our overarching goal is to grow a diverse, inclusive workforce, with a special focus on stem careers, that is inclusive of students of color and young women. Our successes are as follows: 1.students reached (2020-2021) "141 students served "18 students attended the plant-a-seed stem institute "3 student interns were hired to help with the stem institute "89% minority (overall demographics) "50% female (overall demographics) 2.college and career results (2020-2021) "principal rabovsky wrote that "students felt like they were learning about life after high school and able to make a plan for the future." "based on student surveys, our teen participants increased their postsecondary readiness by 90%. "90% of students surveyed experienced increased exposure to stem/steam "efs took mclain students on 6 college tours 3.tulsa youth summer program fund & ready-set summer we received 61,995 of funding as a participant in the opportunity project expanding learning initiatives. We were able to fully implement an 8-week stem institute for 5 days a week during the summer. As a result of additional funding of 17,000 from them and 50,000 from the kaiser family foundation, we are continuing with our programming at mclain for the 2021- 2022 academic school year. According to the opp tidel summer 2021 efs data report, these are our student demographics: "78% economically disadvantaged "50% african american or black "22% asian "11% hispanic "11% mixed "6% caucasian or white this report shows that our impact and outcomes align with our overarching goal to grow a diverse, inclusive workforce, with a special focus on stem careers, that is inclusive of students of color and young women.
