Mission

Sharing food, providing shelter and empowering community.

To eliminate poverty through a proactive, preventive, and compassionate approach. During the year, Genesis Garden provided family emergency homeless shelter and stabilization services, free summer weekday meals for children, a monthly free community meal and groceries and ongoing renovation of a house for a shelter for families who are homeless.

Our Treasurer was newly elected in October. Our filing deadline is uncommon, as our fiscal year begins in Sept, rather than the more common start dates of July and January. Our bookkeeping and annual reports are completed by the employee and our board officers. The combination of the above resulted in us missing the filing date.
