On january 1, 2017, valir pace changed its method of recording medicare adjustments to reflect the amounts estimated to be collected in the following year for the current year's services. In all prior years, the adjustments were based on cms reviews and recorded to patient revenue when full resolution was determined, and the amount had been received or paid. The new method of accounting for medicare adjustments was adopted to better reflect the actual revenues of the company.
