Vidushee is a program initiated by Shreeja India a nonprofit organization based in West Bengal India dedicated to empowering women through sports and education. In collaboration with Caring Hands Shreeja India's Vidushee seeks to promote education in tribal communities through a pay forward approach. Every year young children in tribal communities aged 5-10 are taught by older students from the same tribal communities under the guidance of Shreeja India. Senior Shreeja girls who have gone through the program and pass their class X or XII board exams are trained to teach younger children classes 1-4 in their respective villages and paid for their time. In this way the program seeks to educate first-generation children in tribal communities through a collaborative multi-generational approach. So far over 150+ young children are part of Vidushee.”
