To promote the general economic, regulatory and social welfare of private companies engaged in the development, manufacturing and provision of systems which reduce emissions of criteria pollutants or greenhouse gasses from vehicles.to promote awareness and understanding among federal, state and local governments, regulatory agencies and the public at large of the vital role advanced engine systems play as an efficient and environmentally sound method of controlling vehicular emissions.to develop policies that advance the overall and specific purposes and goals of the companies engaged in developing, manufacturing and providing systems which control emissions from vehicles.
