“Part III-Primary Exempt Purpose:Work to educate the public about circus and other live performance traditions, and to foster innovation and collaboration between working artists. Part III-Statement of Program Accomplishments:Educate aspiring circus and theater artists through a mentoring program that gives training in the athletic, artistic, technical and administrative aspects of the circus;brought master circus artists, emerging artists, and student interns together to produce new public theatrical circus performances;traveled to communities in Oregon and the United States, presenting public performances and educational workshops, generating interest and awareness of the circus and performing arts and contributing to the physical fitness of the public;worked with other organizations to preserve the cultural heritage of traveling circus and vaudeville, and built a network of regional touring circuits that helped to educate the public about this heritage.”
