IRS990/Desc0All programming consists of wind energy education and outreach to utilities, communities, as well as state and local decision makers. SEWC conducts individual, group, and conference education opportunities through both direct contact as well as in partnership with other clean energy stakeholders to reach as many relevant people and decision makers as possible. SEWC and our partners worked with over 2,300 stakeholders over the year. There were two opinion pieces published with the Raleigh News & Observer and Energy Central as well as the publication of four fact sheets and one annual report. In 2016 SEWC held an educational event for County Commissioners in Elizabeth City, NC, two Utility Advisory Group meetings for representatives of utilities across the Southeast, one conference on offshore wind in North Myrtle Beach, SC, two in-person board meetings in Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC, and one annual meeting in Raleigh for a total of seven events.
