IN HONOR OF MANDI'S BIRTHDAY IN AUGUST, WE CELEBRATE HER BY GIVING SCHOOL READINESS TO AS MANY KIDS AS WE CAN WITH OUR ANNUAL HIGH FIVE FOR SUPPLIES DRIVE. IRS990/Desc0High Five for Supplies During the summer months, we conduct a backpack and school supply drive. We encourage the public and corporate donors to provide backpacks and supplies to the drive. We then work with volunteers during a packing event to pack backpacks with supplies and work to distribute them to kids in-need. We provide many of these backpacks directly to families we support and then we count on other nonprofit partners to help us in distributing them to underprivileged children they have within their programing. We serve children from Kindergarten to 12th Grade with backpacks and supplies and try to tailor each grade to what is most needed based on their age. In 2016, we supported 8,165 children with backpacks and supplies.

We support children in-need between the age of 5 to 12 with a birthday celebration. Some of these birthday celebrations are a "hosted" birthday at a community center type venue and many are "birthdays in a box". Our birthdays in a box have everything you would need for a pop-up birthday party for a child to celebrate with 10 of his/her friends. In 2016 we celebrated 307 birthday children with parties or birthday boxes.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0Youth LeadershipBeing that we are Kid Founded we are also Kid Operated. We have many youth that volunteer their time to help us with our Birthday Celebrations or our High Five for Supplies programing. In 2016, we had over 455 children under the age of 18 volunteering for our organization. These youth can also bring their own ideas to the table for service projects to continue to have impact on kids in whatever format they choose. An example of this would be our South Dakota Chapter conducts a Cops Vs Kids event where they raise money for food to be provided to kids that are hungry and in need of assistance. Our Youth Leaders or often speaking in front of adults in corporate settings or involved in larger events. At the 2016 WE Day event in MN our founder Mandi Simon shared the Simon Says Give story with 18,000 youth in the Exel Center in MN.
