Mission

Our mission is to end homelessness on the Eastside by helping men make the transition from life on the street to stable, independent living. The Organization provides temporary shelter, food, and case management services to homeless men. The Organization also assists residents relocate from temporary shelter programs into permanent housing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12C

The Organization's Conflict of Interest Policy covers officers, trustees and employees that can influence the actions of the Organization or its Board or make commitments on their behalf. The existence of any of the interests described in Section 4 of the Policy shall be disclosed before any transaction is consummated. It shall be the continuing responsibility of individuals covered by the Policy to scrutinize their transactions with outside business interests and relationships for potential conflicts and to immediately make such disclosures. Disclosure should be made to the President (or if he is the one with the conflict, then to the Chairman of the Board), who shall bring these matters to the attention of the Board. The Board shall then determine whether a conflict exists and is material, and in the presence of an existing material conflict, whether the contemplated transaction may be authorized as just, fair, and reasonable as to the Organization. The decisions on these matters are the sole discretion of the Board. Restrictions placed on individuals determined to have a conflict will be determined by the Board. Proceedings related to conflicts of interest are documented in the meeting minutes or as otherwise appropriate.

IRS990/Desc0Eastside Men's Shelter (EMS): The EMS is a low-barrier shelter that has traditionally only been open during the winter months, but this year will begin year-round operation. Up to 100 men each night have a safe place to sleep, and get meals, showers, laundry, and housing navigation services. Year-round Shelter: The CFH year-round medium-barrier shelter offers 35 men a place to belong every day. This shelter provides a safe warm place to sleep, three meals a day, storage for belongings, case management, medical and dental services, job assistance, training to prepare for housing, bus passes, showers, laundry facilities, and haircuts. Serving over 100 men each year, over 60% of the men in this program exit to permanent housing.Day Center: The Day Center provides a wide variety of services to men experiencing homelessness. It provides meals (breakfast and lunch), showers, free laundry facilities, phone, Case Management support, andmost importantly: community. Men at the Day Center can work with our Case Managers to develop strategies to obtain housing and employment, as well as meet with service providers in offices on-site, including a job training and referral resource. Medical and dental services are periodically available as well.
