The Organization also assists residents relocate from temporary shelter programs into permanent housing.The Organization offers five services:Day Center:The Day Center provides the first place ever on the Eastside for men who are without showers, laundry, computers, case management, clothing, bus tickets, and hygiene products to access these services during the day all in one place.The Day Center provides a prime opportunity to build relationships with the most chronic of the homeless and reconnect them to society. We also see this as a place that will allow the newly homeless to quickly rebound back into stability and independence.This shelter is open to anyone, but we mostly serve single homeless men, with a few women and families as well.Year-round shelter and emergency winter shelter:Our overnight shelter operates from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. every day. We provide a safe warm place to sleep, three meals a day, storage for belongings, case management, medical and dental services, job assistance, training to prepare for housing, bus passes, showers, laundry facilities, and haircuts.The Eastside Winter Shelter (EWS) was first opened during the winter snowstorm in December 2008. During the first two years the shelter was opened when certain weather criteria were met. Since 2010, the Eastside winter shelter has moved to being open every night during the winter months. Case management and spiritual mentoring:Our case management program is key to a successful transition from homelessness to permanent housing. Our professional case managers provide:-One-to-one assistance for entire program stay-Encouragement in setting goals-Support for drug and alcohol treatment (inpatient and outpatient)-Job search assistance-Life skills training-Budgeting and financial literacy education-Connection to mental health and medical resources-Advocacy in obtaining necessary resources-Preparation for stable housingThe Organization recognizes the importance of faith and application of spiritual disciplines as men move toward productive living. Men in the program have an opportunity to examine the impact of their faith on their lives, and for others, to explore what faith means to them. Bible studies and discussion sessions are available to the men on a weekly basis and are led by volunteers. All faith based activities are voluntary and open to any men in the shelter. In addition, men have the opportunity to engage one on one with a spiritual mentor, to discuss in more detail application of their faith to their current situation.Subsidized housing program:The Organization's subsidized housing program provides permanent housing with time-limited subsidies to our shelter residents. Subsidized housing provides men with stability, a personal locked room or apartment, and a safe place to work toward independence. We continue to provide case management and life coaching for our housing clients.We offer both apartments and shared rooms in managed houses. Rents are set at 30% of a man's gross income.Outreach and mentorship:Mentors are volunteers from the community who assist our professional case managers. As a mentor, youll work one-on-one with a man, coaching him and supporting him in the transition from homelessness to an independent life. Research has shown that mentoring often makes all the difference in a man successfully making the transition out of homelessness into permanent housing. |

The existence of any of the interests described in Section 4 of the Policy shall be disclosed before any transaction is consummated.
