Schedule L part IV

Schedule L, Part IV, Business Transactions Involving Interested Persons: (d) Description of Transaction: The Foundation pays Manatos & Manatos, Inc. (M&M) fees for undertaking numerous activities for the Foundation. Those activities that M&M undertook, at the direction of the Washington Oxi Day Foundation Board (WODFB), can be broken down into the following major projects: A.Washington Oxi Day Foundation Annual Dinner a. The Oxi Day Courage Award for a male - In an effort to secure an award winner who was both worthy of the award and who would bring to our focus of WWII courage, particularly in Greece, maximum visibility among policy-makers and world opinion leaders, the Washington Oxi Day Foundation Board (WODFB) directed M&M to utilize its personal relationships with Congressional, White House and private sector leaders who have access to such individuals. This moved dozens of high level American policy-makers and opinion leaders to learn more about the subject of Oxi Day as they nominated individuals who they know and who they believe are worthy of the award. Given their national stature and the large numbers of people trying to get to them, their telephone numbers and email addresses are not readily available but were secured by M&M. M&M as well consulted with experts in the field of individuals around the world courageously working to secure or maintain freedom and democracy. Such consultations included meeting and evaluating individuals such as our friend of decades Carl Gershman of the National Endowment for Democracy. This resulted in a number of nominations which, at the direction of the WODFB, M&M had to examine and evaluate. After identifying the most desirable individual to approach for involvement in the Oxi Day Foundation celebration, the WODFB asked M&M to utilize many valuable chits in an effort to secure the honoree's and nominee's active participation. M&M, at the direction of the WODFB,utilized its decades-long relationship with Vice President Biden and his family to secure the Vice President, along with his son Beau(posthumously) as the award recipients. As the participation of the Vice President of the United States in a event involves a significant amount of extra accomodations, M&M, at the direction of the WODFB, utilized its decades of experience in handlng such VIP's to ensure that all matters were handled to the satisfaction of the Office of the Vice President. b.The Oxi Day Courage Award for a female-Like the Oxi Courage Award for a male, it was difficult to secure the personal contact information of the dozens of policy-makers and opinion leaders, particularly women, who would be willing to learn about Oxi Day and nominate a female award recipient for the Battle of Crete award. The WODFB asked M&M to secure such contact information for each of these American leaders, and then contact them for their nominations and to follow-up those contacts numerous times to focus these leaders on this subject. The WODFB then asked M&M to select from among the nominees the most worthy individual who might also bring maximum exposure of the record of the Greek people in WWII. That person was Nadia Murad for her remarkable courage shown in escaping as an ISIS sex slave and taking ISIS to the International Court of Human Rights for their crimes against humanity. M&M, at the directiion of the WODBF, worked to secure the support of Nadia Murad's lawyer, Amal Clooney, for this nomination, which it did. c. Metropolitan Chrysostomos Award - At the direction of the WODFB, M&M took a wide survey to identify people who have shown great courage in the fight against discrimination and anti-Semitism. After securing the nominees and selecting the best match, M&M undertook, as was requested by the WODFB, the effort to secure the participation of the President of the Jewish Museum of Greece, Makis Matsas. d. Participation of Key Policymakers and Opinion Leaders in Dinner Program and Event - Again, at the direction of the WODFB, M&M

Schedule L part IV

C.Activities Throughout the Year a. You Should Too Video: At the direction of the WODFB, M&M worked to begin production on a short film staring youth actors meant to educate and remind young people of the incredible story of Oxi Day and Greek courage throughout history, including the Greek Orthodox Churches' defiant stand during the Holocaust, as well as Archbishop Iakovos' stand for civil rights in Selma, Alabama, to inspire young people. At the direction of WODFB, M&M worked to draft the script for this video, select young actors, pull hisorical references and the most meaningful news clips to be used in this production, and began the filming process. M&M also worked, at the direction of the WODFB, to secure His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios' guidance and eventual participation in the film. The completed short film is anticipated to be one of the highlights of the 6th Annual Celebration 2016 that will showcase the enduring bond between the Greek people, the Jewish community of Greece and the United States, as well as the Greek Orthodox Church's unwavering commitment to freedom and humanity. Significant effort was expended in the securing at a reasonable price the right videographer and acting coach for the young people appearing in the video. As well extensive research was undertaken in an effort to secure young people with at least some acting experience. At the direction of the WODFB, M&M worked to publicize this video through press releases and online channels. b. Philotimo Scholarship: As well, at the direction of the WODFB, M&M made preparations for the third year of a scholarship program for young Greek-Americans writing about philotimo. In addition to the securing of the scholarship funds, that contest had to be carefully orchestrated in close coordination with Hellenic and Orthodox organizations across the country. This was all done to make sure that the message of philotimo was well learned.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt8Schedule L, Part IV, Business Transactions Involving Interested Persons: (d) Description of Transaction: The Foundation pays Manatos & Manatos, Inc.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt9C.Activities Throughout the Year a.
