Schedule L part IV

Schedule L, Part IV, Business Transactions Involving Interested Persons: (d) Description of Transaction: The Foundation pays Manatos & Manatos, Inc. (M&M) fees for undertaking numerous activities for the Foundation. Those activities that M&M undertook, at the direction of the Washington Oxi Day Foundation Board (WODFB), can be broken down into the following major projects: A.Washington Oxi Day Foundation Annual Dinner a. The Oxi Day Courage Award - In an effort to secure an award winner who was both worthy of the award and who would bring to our focus of WWII courage, particularly in Greece, maximum visibility among policy-makers and world opinion leaders, the Washington Oxi Day Foundation Board (WODFB) directed M&M to utilize its personal relationships with Congressional, White House and private sector leaders who have access to such individuals. This moved dozens of high level American policy-makers and opinion leaders to learn more about the subject of Oxi Day as they nominated individuals who they know and who they believe are worthy of the award. Given their national stature and the large numbers of people trying to get to them, their telephone numbers and email addresses are not readily available but were secured by M&M. M&M as well consulted with experts in the field of individuals around the world courageously working to secure or maintain freedom and democracy. Such consultations included meeting and evaluating individuals such as Carl Gershman of the National Endowment for Democracy. This resulted in a number of nominations which, at the direction of the WODFB, M&M had to examine and evaluate. After identifying the most desirable individual to approach for involvement in the Oxi Day Foundation celebration, the WODFB asked M&M to utilize many valuable chits in an effort to secure the honoree's and nominee's active participation. M&M, at the direction of the WODFB, worked to secure the nomination by Angelina Jolie of Khalil al-Dakhi for his remarkable rescue of girls and women held as sex slaves, and others, from ISIS. M&M then worked to secure the assistance of several influential US policymakers to encourage Ms. Jolie to contact Khalil al-Dakhi. When she was unable to, M&M then, at the direction of the WODFB, approached Mr. al-Dakhi directly to secure his acceptance of the award. b. The Battle of Crete Courage Award - Like the Oxi Day Award, it was difficult to secure the personal contact information of the dozens of policy-makers and opinion leaders, particularly women, who would be willing to learn about Oxi Day and nominate a female award recipient for the Battle of Crete award. The WODFB asked M&M to secure such contact information for each of these American leaders, and then contact them for their nominations and to follow-up those contacts numerous times to focus these leaders on this subject. The WODFB then asked M&M to select from among these nominees the most worthy individual who also might bring maximum exposure of the record of the Greek people in WWII. That person was imprisoned human rights activist in Azerbaijan, Leyla Yunus. At the direction of the WODFB, M&M called on very high-level individuals who explained to the recipient who the Washington Oxi Day Foundation is and what the Battle of Crete Award is all about and to encourage her to accept the award. M&M secured her acceptance as well as her daughter, Dinara, to fly to the US to accept this award for her mother at the October 28 Oxi Day Foundation black tie gala. In addition, M&M, at the direction of the WODFB, secured a high-level US policymaker to ask Bono to introduce Ms. Yunus by video at the gala. M&M secured Bono's participation and facilitated the videotaping and securing the video that was shown at the gala. c. Metropolitan Chrysostomos Award - At the direction of the WODFB, M&M took a wide survey to identify people who have shown great courage in the fight against discrimination and anti-Semitism. After securing the nominees and selectin

Schedule L part IV

C.Activities Throughout the Year a. World Leaders Praise Greek Courage Video: At the direction of the WODFB, M&M spent over 60 hours producing a compilation video of previous years' honorees and participants meant to inspire pride in our Greek heritage and the incredible story of Oxi Day courage the 75th Anniversary of the Greeks' defiant stand and the 5th Annual Celebration. The video, which includes clips of former President Bill Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Chairman of the RNC Reince Priebus, former Senator Bob Dole, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, among several other high profile American leaders, as well as former President of Israel Shimon Peres, Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, Chinese dissident Cheng Guangcheng, Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel, among several other high profile World leaders, received overwhelming praise. At the direction of the WODFB, M&M worked to publicize this video through press releases and online channels. b. Philotimo Scholarship: As well, at the direction of the WODFB, M&M made preparations for the second year of a scholarship program for young Greek-Americans writing about philotimo. In addition to the securing of the scholarship funds, that contest had to be carefully orchestrated in close coordination with Hellenic and Orthodox organizations across the country. This was all done to make sure that the message of philotimo was well learned. D. Fair Market Value of M&M Services WODFB undertook efforts to determine the fair market value of M&M's services for the Washington Oxi Day Foundation. WODFB consulted extensively with the Associate Management Group to determine that the extensive services that M&M provides to the WODF would cost $180,000 - $200,000 for another firm to undertake. M&M was paid $102,000 for such services in 2015.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt7Schedule L, Part IV, Business Transactions Involving Interested Persons: (d) Description of Transaction: The Foundation pays Manatos & Manatos, Inc.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt8C.Activities Throughout the Year a.
