“Mission statement:the helps education fund connects research with practice and engages teachers, parents, and volunteers to improve student learning.in the 2016-17 fiscal year, the helps education fund was able to donate the following services to support educators in providing effective academic interventions to students. These services included; trainings and consultation services valued at $11,583, curriculum materials valued at $615, and intervention and implementation services valued at $64,050. Metropolitan organization of volunteers for empowering students(moves): moves is designed to effectively and efficiently place volunteers trained in helps and/or ampps into schools so that students can benefit from these evidence-based interventions. Helps early literacy practice strategies (helps): helps is designed to enhance educators ability to improve students reading fluency. Parents and schools together to enhance learning (pastel): pastel is designed to assist parents with using research-based reading activities in the home for children birth 6th grade, to support reading.”

Systems oriented plan for academic achievement (soppa): soppa offers schools a systems-based approach for helping to improve educational outcomes for students struggling with reading, math or writing. Leamos para avanzar (lpa): lpa creates opportunities for volunteers to implement research-based reading interventions, in spanish, with local students for whom spanish is their first language.”
