This includes facilitating tours of community pharmacies for elected officials in California, Colorado, Florida and Georgia, and participating in "Pharmacy Day" during state legislative sessions in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, and Texas. These events offer current and potential PCAN members and supporters opportunities to learn about PCAN and the issues PCAN supports. PCAN also works to keep elected officials educated on issues impacting community pharmacies and the patients they serve. Tens of thousands of people have been reached through these efforts.
