Services are provided to current clients of local community mental health centers as well as consumers seeking linkage to ongoing mental health treatment services. Follow-up services include providing on-going staff support from the initial point of crisis to linkage to services. Crisis hotline and face to face mobile outreach services are also provided for callers to national suicide prevention lifeline and national safe place. Approximately 75,114 clients were served.”

“Youth connection helplines: bhr provides 24/7/365 crisis intervention services to youth aged residents of st. Louis county, st. Louis city, st. Charles county and franklin county. Bhr serves as the single entry point for initial crisis calls from youth, their families and concerned others. Through active follow-up bhr staff helps to direct youth to funded agencies throughout the region for ongoing services. Youth are able to connect to staff by way of phone, texting and web chat. Face to face mobile outreach is also provided. Approximately 34,125 clients were served.”

“Virtual mobile crisis intervention: bhr provides 24/7/365 access to virtual mobile crisis intervention. The program is to improve crisis intervention services and reduce unnecessary diversions of persons in crisis to emergency departments and jails. Law enforcement officers are equipped with tablets and wi-fi to connect with behavioral health specialists to obtain live assessments and appropriate referrals for persons in crisis. Approximately 41 clients were served.”

“Mocars: bhr provides after-hours support as described above to community mental health agencies outside the eastern region of missouri. During business hours the individual agencies provide direct crisis support to their existing clients as well as consumers seeking service linkage. After-hours bhr provides crisis support including referral back to clients' existing providers, safety planning and assistance with hospitalization as needed. Bhr has access to community mental health staff after hours as needed for emergency situations through an on-call system. Approximately 17,522 clients were served.”
